Tracking issues (Base stations) - Symptoms and Solutions

If your base stations cannot be detected or don’t work steadily, you can try the steps listed below:

  • Make sure the base stations are set up at the correct height (at least 6.5 feet) and angle (30-45 degrees down). Also make sure the base stations are mounted firmly without shaking when connected to power. You can find more details in Base Station Mounting Guide.
  • Make sure they are properly set up for sync: for optical sync, one base station should be “b”, and the other one should be “c”; for cabled sync, one should be “a”, and the other one should be “b”.
  • Update firmware.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth function of other devices nearby.
