How to redeem VIVE Pro in-box codes (new/existing Vive users)

If you've recently purchased a Vive Pro, congratulations!

 

As part of our current promotion, new Vive Pro purchasers and those upgrading from an existing Vive will receive codes for Viveport Subscription. In the case of upgrades, you'll also receive $100 (or local equivalent) in Viveport Wallet credit. Here's how to redeem your codes.

 

4/27/18 Update: We've modified the code redemption process into a unified redemption process for both new and existing purchasers. Now, after entering your promo code, it will alert you of the additional loyalty offer.

If you are a new Vive Pro purchaser:

Click the 'Spoiler' tag for instructions

  • You should find a master code printed on a card included in the Vive Pro's packaging.
  • Please look carefully for the card! The code will be ten digits long, consisting of letters and numbers.
  • Visit www.vive.com/code/ and enter the code found on the card.

  • On the next screen, you'll be shown the package(s) you are able to select. (May not the same as the screenshot below.)

  • On the checkout screen, if you are not already logged in, you will be required to either create a new HTC | Vive Account, or log into an existing account.
  • After you have confirmed details and checked out, you will be shown a confirmation page, including your Viveport Subscription code. This code will also be emailed to the email address you confirmed.
  •  If you close or otherwise 'lose' the page with codes on, you can login here using the HTC | Vive Account you created to look at codes previously redeemed.

  • Copy and paste your Viveport Subscription code (from either the confirmation page, or your email) into this box. It will be a sequence of 20 numbers and letters, seperated by hyphens.

  • After confirming your future payment method, your Viveport Subscription will be activated. (Note: you will not be charged until your redeemed subscription period ends. You may cancel at any time from the Subscription section of the My Profile page.)

If you are an existing Vive user, upgrading to a Vive Pro:

Click the 'Spoiler' tag for instructions

  • Please look carefully for the card! The code will be ten digits long, consisting of letters and numbers.
  • Visit www.vive.com/code/ and enter the code found on the card (1), then click the 'Existing Vive owner' link (2)

  • Click the link to enter your information.
  • You will then either enter the email address associated with your existing HTC | Vive Account, or the serial number of your HMD (if you have forgotten the email address of your account). Your HMD serial number is found under your component cover. See the GIF below for how to remove - push with both thumbs, then unplug all cabling.

  • Whether you entered your email or your serial HMD, on the next screen, you'll be shown the package(s) you are able to select.
  • On the checkout screen, if you are not already logged in, you will need to log into your existing HTC | Vive Account.

  • To redeem your Viveport Subscription code, visit http://www.viveport.com/event/subscription
  • Click the 'Redeem Code' button

      • To redeem your Viveport Wallet code, go to the Viveport Wallet page (while logged in to the account where you want to redeem the wallet credit).

      • Copy and paste your Viveport Wallet code (from either the confirmation page, or your email) into this box. It will be a sequence of 20 numbers and letters, seperated by hyphens.

Your Viveport Wallet credit will be added to your account, and can now be selected as a payment method. 

You may need to download the Viveport desktop app to access Viveport apps and games.

I have tried to redeemed as an existing vive user for almost 2 weeks now. I must say that the support is _very_ slow. Now it seems like the web page changed and I can no longer see the option to redeem as an existing vive owner, i.e. https://store.vive.com/code no longer has the link "Existing Vive owner, Upgrade to Vive Pro, click here"

Can the $100 credit be applied to an account without activating the 6-month subscription?

I have a dozen VR games purchased through Steam which I still need to play so I don't want to activate a viveport subscription yet. However I don't want to miss out on the $100 credit.

Can you tell me how long this $100 credit offer is going to be good for?

Also, as the above poster stated a week ago, there is not a link for existing vive owners as shown in your screenshot. How is this $100 credit obtained now?

@Wzzt Please hold off on redeeming your code. I'll look into if you can defer your Viveport subscription activation and should have an answer by Monday. The redemeption flow was updated, thank you for pointing out this FAQ was out of date.  It will prompt you after you enter your code and display the following:

@Wzzt, It turns out you can actually defer the activation of your subscription but with limitations. When you redeem your code, you will be given a Viveport Subscription Code and/or a Viveport Wallet code depending on which offers apply to you. You can hold off on activating the subscription code, but note that there will be an expiration date clearly listed in your confirmation email. You must redeem this code before the expiration date that is listed in your email if you wish to take advantage of the offer.

@Uri @Predtek. depending on which Pro SKU, the code will be on different sheets. 

 

  • With the HMD only SKU, the code is located on a sheet within the compartment housing the linkbox. I have posted a copy of that sheet below. 
  • WIth the full kit, the code is listed in the black area on the bottom of the large setup sheet that is the very first thing you see when you open the box. The formatting of the offer code area is very similar to the one from the HMD only SKU.

Is this offer only for US? I believe I remember it saying it being available for me when I bought the Vive pro in Sweden a month ago I just didn't have the time til now to do this.

Please stop your services as none of the things are user friendly and none of the things works properly in Vive port. I have a reedemption code and I m not able to use it because you want me to add the card details. The worst experience ever. You are fooling customer with viveport services and offers. Why i have to enter my card details if it is free and If i need to pay then I will purchase till then why you need my account linke with credit/debit card. You are literlay Bandit Kings.

 

I didnt recieve any of the wallet money neither I m abel to subscribe , there is nothing i got as you mentioned above. 

 

I have both HTC Vive and HTC Vive Pro still not offers , no benifits which is promised.

 

Worst services. Smiley Sad
