I have this issue too and it's frustrating. I've only goty a handful of days to play with this thing and have the same old games that I didn't really enjoy so much locked in from when I was busy with work. . . is making me want to drop the service.

cannot subscribe to viveport/ you all will not accept my discover card. I contacted discover and they told me to contact Viveport. I really want to subscribe though.

Hi @martindell61, I'll check with our payment provider on Discover. In the interim, if you have another card you might want to try that?
EDIT: Checking with our payment provider, it appears we don't accept Discover directly. You might be able to use Discover to put funds into an electronic payment provider (eg Paypal) as an alternative.

Once I have selected a game for a subscription period, can that game be carried over to the next period?
Also, once a game has been added to your catalogue list, will it remain there or will it be removed at a later date?

1. Yes. You can keep selecting the same game for multiple periods
2. You will select 5 titles each month, titles which are no longer selected are no longer accessible. (Unless you buy them or select them again later.)

Adding onto Synthesis' response, developers have full control over how their content is published and can delist their content if they desire... Occasionally we step in and delist content if it does not meet the standards of the platform (i.e. it is malfunctioning or poses a security risk to consumers). That said, if you buy content on Viveport and a developer delists that content, you still own that content forever and will always be able to download the most recent update provided to us.

If I buy a 3 months subscription, what happens to the downloaded games once the 3 months are expired? They remains playable?

The 5 games you selected for your subscription at that time will no longer be playable (until you renew your subscription or purchase them directly)

The "5 games/apps per month" model doesn't make any sense to me. It weights every game/application the same. Since there are no previews, you could end up with 5 programs on the level of simple phone apps, or you could end up with 5 serious and actual games.
When you use the similar service for Playstation or Xbox, your subscription gives you access to their library, period, with no restrictions. I don't understand why this doesn't do the same.

Simply put, Vive does not have the install base of PlayStation or Xbox. Vive has been in existence for under two years, Viveport just over one; PlayStation and Xbox have been around much longer, along with their corresponding online services. We feel as it stands, given the market, Viveport Subscription is a great deal.
As for the quality of apps, we'd obviously encourage you to ask others, read reviews and post your own to help everyone find the best experiences.
