I just did a full system re-build, and this time I only installed Steam & Oculus's software , leaving all Vive software out of the system.
I got really sick of the Vive software always starting whenever I launched a Steam VR game with the Vive.
Is there any way to easily disable that from happening?????
So far it works really well, and the only reason I'd ever have needed to install the Vive software would have been to redeem the free games.
Considering that it's currently just Richie's Plank & Everest (bought mine just prior to the Start Trek promo), it's not worth the hassle.
Had they allowed me to grab Star Trek, I'd probably be a lot more enthusiastic to install the Vive software and check it all out again, along with their storefront.
Had it been something as great as Robo Re-Call, I'd have installed it INSTANTLY, LOL!!!!!

Just bought my Vive, tried redeeming the code that was in the box.
After struggling a few times with the login screen, I finally got through to the screen where I entered the code for the bundle, but I never received the codes to redeem the individual games.
I tried going back through the bundle redeeming, but now it's telling me that the code has already been redeemed.
What am I supposed to do?

This exact thing just happened to me as well, It went to a screen that just said my full name and there was nothing else to click on, etc?
I checked and they are not in my library/subscription.
What do I do to get the games redeemed?
Never mind, just got the email with the codes.

Hello, as i see, there is lot of problems using the redeem codes or free games codes on vive program.
For me, i'm blocked in the 4th step, using the codes i received via mailbox doesn't work.
"Thanks for redeeming your in-box redemption code 2017-08-26 07:46:35. You’ll find your product code below... " I have 3 of them (tilt brush, everest and richie), and none works on vive app in "redeem code".
I already sent a mail at support : ticket number 117346367208 and also tried by chat, but nothing.
I used also my free month trial on viveport, but i don't want to use my slots to earn the three of them.
Hope you will be able to help me...

I am sorry you're having issues with our code redemption process, it's something we're currently working hard to improve upon. @Synthesis or@jagibson will be able to help you. It is a holiday weekend here in the U.S. so response may be slower than normal. I apologize for the inconvenience.

@mmontreu, you should have had an email with those codes in it as well. It can take a little while to arrive and sometimes we've heard it ends up in Spam, so please make sure you check all of your folders. Hello @Synthesis, as i said before, yes, i'm always waiting for a solution to have my codes working.
I got the three of them by mail, but they are all erroned on viveport.
I already sent a mail at support, by chat assistance too, but nothing for the moment.
If you need more specifications like serial number or the vive initial code i used, i can send you them.
Hope you will be able to help me, For the moment, the vive experience is totallywonderful, and it will be better with this threes games/apps (specially Tilt Brush)
I'm waiting for an answer.

So a couple things to keep in mind in general about codes: The content code you get in the box is region specific, so make sure you're on the right locale for the box. (If you bought from the US and tried to redeem in the UK for example, it wouldn't work. You'd have to go to the US part of the website.)
The individual content codes are entered in the Vive software app that you download onto your PC (and nowhere else)
These are not the same as Steam keys.
To redeem on Vive, open the Vive App and click on your Icon next to your name. A drop down menu will appear along with "Redeem content" as one of the options. Click on that and it will open a window where you can enter the code.
If you are doing this and it's not working, please PM me with a screenshot of the error.

Hello @Synthesis, thank you for your quick reply, I tried few minutes ago and surprised, it finally works. I did the same process, and i'm now able to get the programs. I don't know if something was done by the staff, but all i can say it's thank you very much.

You're trying to redeem the individual game codes? Can you PM me a screenshot of the error you're receiving?

I redeemed my codes in the viveport app and it said click to view your game in the library but the games did not apear in my library.
Is there anything else I need to do?
