How to redeem VIVE Pro in-box codes (new/existing Vive users)

If you've recently purchased a Vive Pro, congratulations!

 

As part of our current promotion, new Vive Pro purchasers and those upgrading from an existing Vive will receive codes for Viveport Subscription. In the case of upgrades, you'll also receive $100 (or local equivalent) in Viveport Wallet credit. Here's how to redeem your codes.

 

If you are a new Vive Pro purchaser:

Click the 'Spoiler' tag for instructions

  • You should find a master code printed on a card included in the Vive Pro's packaging.
  • Please look carefully for the card! The code will be ten digits long, consisting of letters and numbers.
  • Visit www.vive.com/code/ and enter the code found on the card.

  • On the next screen, you'll be shown the package(s) you are able to select. (May not the same as the screenshot below.)

  • On the checkout screen, if you are not already logged in, you will be required to either create a new HTC | Vive Account, or log into an existing account.
  • After you have confirmed details and checked out, you will be shown a confirmation page, including your Viveport Subscription code. This code will also be emailed to the email address you confirmed.
  •  If you close or otherwise 'lose' the page with codes on, you can login here using the HTC | Vive Account you created to look at codes previously redeemed.

  • Copy and paste your Viveport Subscription code (from either the confirmation page, or your email) into this box. It will be a sequence of 20 numbers and letters, seperated by hyphens.

  • After confirming your future payment method, your Viveport Subscription will be activated. (Note: you will not be charged until your redeemed subscription period ends. You may cancel at any time from the Subscription section of the My Profile page.)

If you are an existing Vive user, upgrading to a Vive Pro:

  • You should find a master code printed on a card included in the Vive Pro's packaging.
  • Please look carefully for the card! The code will be ten digits long, consisting of letters and numbers.
  • Visit www.vive.com/code/ and enter the code found on the card (1), then click the 'Existing Vive owner' link (2)

  • Click the link to enter your information.
  • You will then either enter the email address associated with your existing HTC | Vive Account, or the serial number of your HMD (if you have forgotten the email address of your account). Your HMD serial number is found under your component cover. See the GIF below for how to remove - push with both thumbs, then unplug all cabling.

  • Whether you entered your email or your serial HMD, on the next screen, you'll be shown the package(s) you are able to select.
  • On the checkout screen, if you are not already logged in, you will need to log into your existing HTC | Vive Account.
  • After you have confirmed details and checked out, you will be shown a confirmation page, including your Viveport Subscription code, and your Viveport Wallet credit code. These codes will also be emailed to the email address you confirmed.
  • If you close or otherwise 'lose' the page with codes on, you can login here using the HTC | Vive Account you created to look at codes previously redeemed.
  • To redeem your Viveport Subscription code, visit http://www.viveport.com/event/subscription
  • Click the 'Redeem Code' button

      • To redeem your Viveport Wallet code, go to the Viveport Wallet page (while logged in to the account where you want to redeem the wallet credit).

      • Click the 'Redeem wallet code' link.
      • Copy and paste your Viveport Wallet code (from either the confirmation page, or your email) into this box. It will be a sequence of 20 numbers and letters, seperated by hyphens.

Your Viveport Wallet credit will be added to your account, and can now be selected as a payment method. 

You may need to download the Viveport desktop app to access Viveport apps and games.

I have tried to redeemed as an existing vive user for almost 2 weeks now. I must say that the support is _very_ slow. Now it seems like the web page changed and I can no longer see the option to redeem as an existing vive owner, i.e. https://store.vive.com/code no longer has the link "Existing Vive owner, Upgrade to Vive Pro, click here"
